Shea Saunters 🇵🇸

Shea is a Corvallis resident living in the West Bank in 2024. They are working in a Palestinian-led organization committed to resisting the oppression and dispossession of Palestinians using a nonviolent methodology. About Us 🇵🇸

Corvallis Palestine Solidarity is a community in Corvallis, Oregon, working to promote awareness and engage the public in the campaign for justice, equality and human rights for the Palestinian people.

CPS hosts educational community events, films and discussions that are free and open to the public. We also participates in rallies, conferences, marches and protests locally and regionally.

We often approach the political situation of Palestine through a cultural lens, highlighting the humanity, history, art, culture and food of the Palestinian people. We have organized numerous fundraisers—most benefiting the Middle East Children’s Alliance—from dinners and film series to a three-day nonstop cultural weekend, which included hip hop music, a cooking class, a Palestinian fashion show, speakers, an art auction and free food.

During Israel’s attacks on Gaza, we have organized funeral marches through the Corvallis Farmers Market, a mourning tent on the Memorial Union Quad at OSU, vigils and protests. We have collaborated with other Palestine solidarity groups to host speakers and authors on tour through our region, worked as a coalition member of the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights, and partnered with allies in our local faith communities in hosting educational events and film screenings.

We support the Palestinian people in their struggle for justice and human rights, and in their resistance to oppression and occupation, including their call for boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS). We welcome those who wish to join us.
