I have returned to Ramallah where I will stay until Tuesday. I have been developing new protocols with some of the founding members and meeting new volunteers.

The ISM apartment is located in the Quadra refugee camp which contains about 1,000 people who were displaced by the formation of Israel in 1948. It is not officially recognized by UNRWA and lacks consistent government services. While calling this area a “camp” suggests temporary structures or tents, this camp, like most Palestinian refugee camps, consist of multi-story densely packed buildings that have been around for decades.
On Saturday, 19 Palestinians were killed during the raid on the Nur Shams refugee camp which is about 90 km away from where I am staying. An ambulance driver was also murdered as he tried to transport injured people to a medical facility. Today, two teenage boys were killed after allegedly trying to stop the IOF soldiers. A young girl was also shot at the Hamra checkpoint near Tubas and is in critical condition.
Raids continue across the West Bank in Nablus, Hebron / Al-Khalil, Bethlehem, and Ramallah. Israeli forces have destroyed homes, shops, the electrical grid, and sewer and water infrastructure.
Every city across the West Bank is currently participating in a comprehensive strike. All businesses, schools, government offices, and public transportation have shut down. The strike was called for by the Fatah movement to show support for victims of the raids and genocide in Gaza.
